-Byron, this view is looking southwest from the diamond where NS tower used to stand. This is the former P.Ft.W.&C./ P.R.R./P.C./Amtrak Depot. The B&O/NKP depot used to sit out of this frame to left. This whole area is pretty well covered in the book "Lima's Operation Kindness" by Scott Trostel which is for sale at The Allen County Museum in Lima, also available on Amazon. Lima citizens can now pay their water bills here. The diamond you operated on was protected by the Sugar St. tower of the Pennsylvania Railroad. That diamond was the crossing of the D.T.&I. and the Pennsy. You cannot see this depot from a train operating on the old D.T.&I. / G.T.W / I.&O.

Beautiful again. I really love this and I'm sure the new buyer will also. Congrats on your sales!

Pamela, love this photo. You say near Sugar St. diamond. Is this off of the CSX line? Our diamond is the next one east of CSX. Thank you.
Pamela Baker replied:
Hi Bryan ... Yes this is the CSX Line. If you stand on the Sugar St diamond you can see this depot :)

I have questions. Is this a drawing? An enhanced picture? Is this depot still there? I've ran many a train on the old DT&I into Lima and up the CSX north to Ottawa and beyond and never have seen this depot. There is a building similar south of Sugar Street just north of the S curve. Beautiful picture.

Hi Bryan ! This is the old Lima Train Depot at the Lima Diamond near Sugar St. It was restored about 4 years ago and is still there. The City of Lima has offices in there now. This is an HDR Photograph and I used Photomatix software to do the post-processing. I'm glad you like this :):)

Beautifully made. My daughter went to Ohio Northern there and didn't even know this was there!
Pamela Baker replied:
Thank You Mary. If you don't know your way around downtown Lima ... you would'nt be able to find it !!
